Oh phooey! I thought for sure once everyone read my story and saw how lovey I was, people would be knocking down the doors to adopt me. I see you all want me to do more work. That's okay! I love telling you about myself because I know one day you'll send that email saying you want to adopt Mitch!!!
As you may or may not know, the cats at the Howard County Cat Club shelter are not kept in cages. We are free to roam around and even have an outdoor enclosure where we can enjoy the great outdoors. I'm not so certain about a couple of the cats here, so I've decided to take the penthouse suite for now. I spend a lot of time up on the refrigerator and cabinets. The volunteers give me lots of one-on-one loving up here, and I'll come down if one of them is nearby to say hi. I would prefer a home that had maybe one other calm cat or even a home that just wanted little old me!
Did I mention I like to play? I love wand toys! Here's a video of one of the volunteers playing with me.

Well that's about it for now. Now I know you will want to come adopt me. I'm loving AND playful. What more can a human ask for?
Please send an email to howardcountycats@earthlink.net and tell them you saw my blog and want MITCH! Hopefully my next entry can be that I'm in my new forever home! Bye!

Allow me to introduce myself
Hi everyone! My name is Mitch. See that big M on my forehead. It's an easy way to remember my name!
I'm really trying hard to find my forever home. One of the nice volunteers who takes care of me is helping me create my very own blog. She just knows if people read about me, see my handsome pictures, and view videos of me they will fall in love and whisk me off to a brand new life!
Ok, so do you want to hear my story? Somehow I ended up at Baltimore County Animal Control. YIKES! Do you know what they do to unwanted cats there? I shudder at the thought, but luckily my guardian angels were watching over me. One day a nice volunteer from the Howard County Cat Club showed up and took me to their cage-free, no-kill shelter. Whew! That was close. I'm so grateful to all the volunteers who take care of me, but I so want my very own forever home.
I have no idea why I was abandoned. I hear words like "love bug," "friendly," and "sweetheart" all the time when the volunteers are talking to me. Those are good words, right? I would probably be a great companion for a child and would be happy being an only cat or living with one other calm cat or dog. Big crowds don't impress me! I'd also love some safe access to the outdoors to get some fresh air.
Here's a video of one of the volunteers giving me some loving. I was in heaven! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JzAxmLGfO0 Did you see my little tongue hanging out?!
I'm going to be posting more pictures and videos so please check back for updates. If you think I would fit nicely into your home, please contact howardcountycats@earthlink.net Tell them Mitch sent you!
